4. The Gallivant Littlestone Hotel, Kent

This lovely place was made for Hedda Hopper, an actress and gossip columnist from the 1920s. It was designed by an architect named Clough Williams-Ellis, who also created Portmeirion. It’s a bit like a sister to another place called the Gallivant, and it’s right by the sea, which makes it perfect for a special vacation.
Just like the popular Gallivant in nearby Camber Sands, this spot in New Romney has a great outdoor vibe for relaxation and wellness. They have a yoga studio, a sauna, and a room for treatments.
Outside, there’s a beautiful coastal garden with a gazebo on the beach where you can eat and plenty of places to relax. You’ll get amazing views of Romney Bay from here. The decoration in the twelve bedrooms is inspired by Hopper’s history, and you can see the building’s Edwardian style too. They even have a gong that rings when it’s time for cocktails.
